Selena Tibert is a 13-year-old singer/songwriter who plays guitar and piano.  She writes all her own music and lyrics and has been writing songs since she was 8.  She released a homemade CD, Love and Lyrics, in June 2008.  She has played at local fairs, and coffee houses.  She enjoys singing and loves to perform in front of an audience.  She has a website, www.selenatmusic.com

Selena took a great interest in this year's events surrounding the election, joining her mom and dad in watching nearly every debate.  She spent a lot of time discussing current issues in her eighth grade history class.  This song was inspired by current events surrounding the election and the war in Iraq.
