Starting the day that Christopher "Topher" Reed II began to crawl, he has loved sports. His favorite toys were miniature basketball hoops, plastic golf clubs and baby tee-ball sets. Seeing the way Topher clung on to sports made his father, Chris, extremely proud and excited. Over the years, Breana and Chris have watched their son grow and learn, all the while his attachment to sports getting stronger and stronger. We had no idea he would become the athlete that he has already proven to be. Born on June 25, 2003, the public eye has already found a liking in Topher. At 2-1/2-years, a news producer from Fox 8 Cleveland studios asked to do a segment about who they dubbed the "Tiger Cub". Since then, he's been in newspapers, on local morning shows and other news channels. Topher, 5 years old, has grown to have a personality all his own. Aside from the goofy, caring little boy that Breana, Chris and little sister Cameron see at home, his competitive and driven spirit is something that will surely help him flourish. Topher competed in his first US Kids Golf Competition (Summer, 2008) and will continue to compete for years to come. He has already shot his first eagle summer of 2008 and his average is in the low fourtys on 9 holes. His all time lowest score so far is a 39. Topher has a good luck tradition of swapping a golf ball before every tournament at his older brother's tombstone and it then becomes his "good luck ball" of the day. His World Tournament qualifier lands on this brothers birthday this year so hopefully Topher can give his Brother some good news on his birthday!
Eddie is an 8-year-old baseball whiz kid. He can name every player in Major League Baseball! Yes, all 750 of them! Funny enough, no one in his family even watches baseball. Apparently, Eddie has been blessed with a photographic memory, especially when it comes to his favorite sport.
Eddie loves to read and starts each day checking out the baseball box scores in the local newspaper. He loves to see how his favorite team, the Atlanta Braves are doing. The Braves even named Eddie “Honorary Captain” at one of their home games and he got to meet all the players, including his favorite, 3rd baseman Chipper Jones!
Eddie’s amazing gift has been featured on CNN and Fox television broadcasts. He’s also been quizzed on radio sports shows and even live at an Atlanta Braves game…and of course, he answered every question correctly! When it comes to baseball, Eddie is truly in a league of his own!
