    Mayumi is 13 years old and has been singing since she was 5.  She is always invited to sing solo for Christmas midnight mass or service .  This particular song was the song that she sang for the candle light service which made a lot of people cry.

    Mayumi also sings Broadway musical songs e.g. "Les Miserables", "Miss Saigon", "South Pacific", "Sound of Music", "Wizard of Oz", "Annie" and "Secret Garden".  Mayumi is an accomplished violinist , pianist and is currently a member of the prestigious Hawaii Youth Symphony.  When people hear her voice they always assume that she is taking voice lessons but the truth is she has never taken any voice lessons. She is a regular singer of the national anthem and Hawaii Ponoi at Stan Sheriff Center for the University of Hawaii Atheltic Department.  She has been invited to sing in numerous community events both in California and Honolulu. She also dances hula.

    Despite all her accomplishments, she remains humble.

    My son, Jake Haldenwang, is a 13-year-old blues guitarist who delivers searing guitar solos with an intensity that belies his youth. His performances combine a variety of influences with a powerful feeling that is uncanny for someone so young. Jake’s passion is writing music and playing his guitar, to date he has written seven originals songs. This is a video of Jake playing an instrumental version of “Little Wing” accompanied by fellow band member, bass player, Sean Hickey. Jake started playing guitar at age11 and was performing for a live audience by the time he was 12. This year, Jake has been honored as the chosen youth guitarist, to represent the Charlotte, NC. Region at the 25th, 2009 International Blues Challenge in Memphis. This is a great privilege, as the International Blues Challenge is the largest and most prestigious showcase of blues artist’s and industry executives in the nation. As a result he is totally blind, but that does not hold him back from doing any of the things he wants to do. He has sung for The Frederick Keys Baseball Team for the past 4 years. Her powerful voice and passion for singing has led her to many performances at major festivals and official events throughout the city, namely, Ottawa City Hall, Canada Day Festival, Black History Month, Central Canada Exhibition and much more. At age 6, she performed on CTV (Canadian Television Network) in support of the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) Telethon. This year, she performed the national anthem at the start line of the Ottawa Marathon, one of Canada's largest running events. Ayda performs songs from a variety of styles ranging from pop to R&B and from blues to Broadway, including those of her favorite singers, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, Avril Lavigne and Rihanna. Ayda also has the wonderful ability to connect with diverse audiences, having performed songs in French, Turkish, Cantonese and Zulu.     Jordan McCabe is 9 years old with unbelievable basketball and dribbling skills for his age (actually almost any age). He is one of the most skilled basketball players at his age in the nation if not the world (If there is someone more skilled at this age we would like to see him/her). He competes at the national level on his AAU basketball team and is known at his age level at the national level. He is a hard-working kid with a great heart and works on basketball and his skills for 2+ hours every day. He also is very good with the jump rope as you will see in the video, which he also works on everyday before going to school. Jordan has done dribbling camps and shows throughout the state of Wisconsin and will be shooting a video with a nationally-known basketball trainer. I am submitting this video to recognize Jordan for the tremendous amount of work he has put into his passion of basketball.
